              What’s happening at Seman Tov

as we enter the 2022-23 School year?

Some of the new things you may be seeing for the first time are the  7 new small buses and two 2 new vans that have been added to the fleet.

There are more vehicles ordered, however there is a national backorder on schoolbuses at this time.

From a safety and comfort point of view; Seman Tov has one of the newest fleets in the industry, averaging just 4.6 years old throughout the 150 vehicles the company owns.

Another feather in the cap of the company is that we have one of, if not, the highest pass rate with the MVC Inspection Teams in the entire State at 93% initial inspection and roadside checks.

What doesthis means to all of us ? We’re safer, with less chance of breakdowns and summons than just about any other company in the New Jersey School busing industry.

At our March and August Company meetings it was discussed that fuel prices have increased dramatically over the past year. To combat the increased cost of operations all drivers were asked to reduce any unnecessary idling time and mileage on their vehicles. As we head toward winter and the possibility of higher fuel costs, this becomes an even greater issue. PLEASE CONSERVE AND SHUT DOWN.

A reminder to all employees that ZONAR is our mechanism to streamline both bus safety checks and payroll for company operations. Please be sure to sign in and out with your ZONAR card to alleviate any payroll issues. For the sake of motor vehicle compliance and to save unnecessary fines please do the full safety and child checks on your vehicles.

At the August meetings everyone was given a copy of the Seman Tov Company Administrative Directory. We all need to reference the following list of who to contact for any particular issue. Only the person designated will handle a specific situation that falls under their level of
control.

Familiar Faces at Seman-Tov

Were you able to figure out who has been at Seman Tov the longest / continuously over the past 40 plus years? Obviously Leah and Avi top the list.
The following came from some research and deep
memory diving…
***** PLEASE ADVISE OF ANYONE MISSED *****

40+ Year Club…..Obviously Leah and Avi

30+ Year Club….Fernando Cano, Cruz Loyo, Sharon
Wayne, Yitzy and Yehuda (it’s hard to imagine a time they
weren’t riding as bus aides, or doing something company
related back then).

20+ Year Club…. Morris, Aldrin and Adele Belhassen

10+ Year Club….. There are at least 42 people who have
been with the company for over 10 years.

5+ Year Club…… There are at least another 75 people who
have been with Seman Tov for more than 5 years.

EVERY PERSON WORKING HERE IS THOUGHT OF AS
FAMILY AND THE BACKBONE OF WHAT SEMAN TOV HAS
ACCOMPLISHED AND BECOME OVER THE PAST 40 YEARS.
A TREMENDOUS “THANK YOU” TO ALL !!!
